Thanks to years of competitive figure skating; Victor is in top physical form. In his youth he maintained a very lithe, feminine form; slim and soft, with long silky hair to match. Since then he's chopped off his hair, save for his bangs he keeps long on the left side of his face. He's also built up a good deal of lean muscle, while still keeping it in check to maintain his flexibility. The charm of his appearance made a slight shift from feminine to masculine in the process-- although his face could still be considered pretty; making him the target of many fans' affections, both male and female.
Victor is known for an array of flashy costumes from his various performances; everything from sequins to sheer fabrics-- seductive pieces to princely ensembles-- all fairly form-fitting and fashionable. Off of the ice his outfits range from sporty to classy depending on the situation. As someone who greatly enjoys shopping, he tends to buy expensive and keeps up with current trends.
On the other hand, Victor is also known for being shameless in the sense that-- either drunk or sober, there's a chance you might see him strip down. He's confidant in his appearance and won't be embarrassed if someone sees everything. And if he's drunk... you might want to beware the possibility that he might become clingy in that state.
On the surface, Victor spent a great deal of time focused on his passion of ice skating. And while that brought him a great deal of satisfaction and pride; in doing so he spent a long time neglecting other important aspects of his life. Being his best and of course-- always surprising his audience-- was his center focus for a great many years. But the feeling that he'd done everything he could at this point had begun to weigh on him as he prepared to make his choices for the upcoming season. And that was where he had an incredible encounter that changed everything. He dropped everything to switch sides from skater to coach, despite his age meaning he likely didn't have much time left competing at this level.
Just like his actions suggest, Victor is something of a wild force of a man. While he seems kind and polite, his motivational skills need some work and there are times when he can be incredibly blunt. He means well, of course, but this can lead to some painful misunderstandings. It can also be said that he certainly doesn't know the meaning of the word 'quit'. Even if it seems hopeless, he won't simply be brushed off by three, four, five rejections.
Speaking of words he doesn't know the meaning of, "shame" would be another. He's perfectly comfortable with nudity-- his own or others, doesn't matter. Victor doesn't put a great deal of weight to other people's judgement and chooses instead to live and skate in a way that he can be happiest with.
Victor is perfectly human, albeit not the most normal of them. He has world-class skills and is a top athlete. Even so-- none of those touch upon fighting more than basic, common knowledge self-defense. However he does have above average strength (particularly in his legs) and agility.
Ice Skating — Holding a handful of World Records in the sport, Victor Nikiforov is not just a skater, but something of a legend; particularly to his home country of Russia. He's won five consecutive gold medals on the world stage and has been a fierce competitor ever since his debut.
Little is known about the kind of life Victor Nikiforov lived before he began skating. His family, his education... mysteries. The only "family" that appears is his dear poodle Maccachin; a loveable dog he's had ever since he was young. Now that he's nearing the end of the current season and looking to make his in ring debut next year, he worries that this may be Maccachin's last, considering his age. Victor cares very deeply for his pet; having flown out on a competition to go to the hospital when he was taken in for eating something he shouldn't-- even though it meant leaving his skater on his own. The tissue box he carries for competitions is also in Maccachin's image.
On the ice, Victor Nikiforov is known for making history on several occasions-- ever since his debut as a junior skater, he has set incredible records.
He has dedicated a great number of years to continuing to surpass everyone's expectations for him and pushing his limits to even greater heights. However-- beginning to feel that he was at his limit, rumors began circulating about his retirement; much to many people's dismay. But then at the after party during the World finals, something incredible happened. Last place contestant Katsuki Yuri proceeded to drink far too much champagne and embark on a number of embarrassing escapades, including a dance-off... to which he first asked Victor that if he won, he'd like him to be his coach. That incredible moment sparked something in Victor. And while Yuri forgot it after the hangover of his life... Victor did not. Nearing the beginning of the new season, Yuri was taped performing Victor's free skate routine from the previous year and when he saw that video-- his fate was sealed.
Seemingly out of nowhere (for Katsuki Yuri) Victor arrived at his family's hotsprings in Hasetsu-- telling him that from that day forward, he was going to be his coach.
Naturally, Victor knew absolutely nothing about being a coach. What he was able to do however, was write a beautiful program for both him and Russia's Yuri Plisetsky (to whom he'd made a... forgotten promise to do so previously). The two Yuris, both having different ideas of what Victor should do, proceeded to have a competition to see who could out-perform the other. Should Katsuki Yuri win, he would stay. If Yuri Plisetsky won, he intended to drag him back to Russia with him. In the end it was Katsuki Yuri who won, and his position as coach was finalized.
With eyes on the gold medal at the World finals, the two worked very hard together. There were naturally a number of bumps-- but they were able to overcome them and Yuri landed a spot in the top six competitors... guaranteeing himself a shot at redemption for last year's failure. Along the way, it became increasingly clear that Victor had an interest in Yuri that was more than just being his coach, or even as a friend. On a number of occasions their closeness shocked and awed people in the stands.
And when they made it to Barcelona for the finals-- Yuri bought a pair of matching rings. Victor was the one who announced to the group that it was an engagement ring, and that they would marry when Yuri won gold.
